Photosynthesis is an extremely impotent process! For life to exists as it does we need photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process that creates most of the atmospheric oxygen needed for plants and animals. Plants use light from the sun, water, and carbon dioxide for photosynthesis, which creates glucose, (which they use for sustenance) and oxygen, which is merely a by-product. Organisms that photosynthesise are the only organisms able to make their own food.
